1 oz vodka
3/4 oz Goldschläger (can substitute other cinnamon schnapps but I like the gold flecks)
1/4 oz raspberry syrup
Splash of Peychauds bitters
Shake well over ice and strain into a cocktail glass.
Goldschläger will NOT make your skin fall off. Happy Valentine’s Day!
This seems like a very long winter, and it’s not over yet! A sunny cocktail is required.
2 1/2 oz Ataulfo mango purée (mangos should be nicely ripe. Whirr in food processor and press through a sieve)
2 oz white rum
1/2 oz lime juice
1/2 oz vanilla syrup
2 drops Peychaud’s bitters
Shake well over ice and strain into a cocktail glass. Add two more drops of Peychaud’s on top.
We have a backyard apple tree that has never been a good producer. However, due to the drought last summer, all of the apple trees got a good rest and this year everyone is reporting bumper crops. So too with our tired old apple. Whereas normally it only produces enough apples for the squirrels, this year the branches are weighed down with fruit. I simply had to make apple jelly. And thus this cocktail!
1 1/2 oz vodka
1 oz applejack or Calvados
2 tsp apple jelly
1/4 tsp Peychaud’s bitters
Shake well and stain into ice-filled jelly jar.

2 oz freshly squeezed blood orange juice, finely strained
1/2 oz Cointreau
12 drops Peychauds bitters
