Ishtar Cocktail

Ishtar Cocktail (March 29, 2013)

There is a thing going around Facebook that the word Easter derives from the name Ishtar, the Babylonian goddess of fertility, and that her symbol was a rabbit, and that this is why we hunt for eggs. Now this is all nonsense, but it does make for a good cocktail name!

1 1/2 oz vodka
1 oz sour cherry juice
1/2 oz Lillet Blanc
1/2 oz finely strained lemon juice
1/2 oz Cointreau

Blair and Brenda’s Bathtub Drink

2 oz Amaretto
1 oz fresh lemon juice
1/2 oz orange liqueur (Aurum if available, otherwise Grand Marnier or Cointreau)

Stir over ice in a rocks glass. Garnish with lemon peel. Drink in bathtub. Preferably with a friend.
