Pineapple Upside Down Cake cocktail (January 27, 2013)
1 1/2 oz gin
2 oz pineapple juice
3/4 oz lemon juice
1/4 oz vanilla syrup
1/2 oz orgeat syrup
If desired rim glass with vanilla syrup and brown sugar, or simply garnish with a maraschino cherry.
CBC Cocktail (November 11, 2012)
2 oz calamansi juice
1 oz bourbon
1/2 oz Cointreau
After many months of no TV we bought an amplified antenna and receive CBC off-air. That called for a celebratory drink!

After a brisk day spent outside doing chores and making ready for winter, this smoooooth sipper hits the spot.
1 oz Canadian whisky
1/4 oz Cointreau
1/4 oz maple liqueur
1/4 oz apricot brandy
1/4 oz Fernet-Branca
Skoglander (October 28, 2012)
1 oz pear nectar
1 oz Laird’s Applejack
1/2 oz bourbon
1 heaping teaspoon Cointreau-soaked lingonberry jam
Shake well with ice and strain into chilled cocktail glass (fine strain if you don’t like berry pips).
Created for Ian Skogland, who unfortunately was not here to taste it, but his wife said he would like it.

A drink to celebrate the fall colours.
2 oz finely strained pear nectar
1 1/2 oz White Owl white whisky
1/4 oz limoncello
5 generous dashes cranberry bitters

2 oz peanut punch
2 oz iced coffee
2 oz Sailor Jerry’s spiced rum
Framboise et citron Version 1 – short (September 30, 2012)
1 1/2 oz fresh lemon juice
1/2 oz limoncello
1/4 oz raspberry syrup
Muddle these ingredients well in a mixing glass, then add:
1/4 oz Lillet Blanc
1/4 oz Campari
2 oz vodka
Shake well with ice and fine strain into a cocktail glass. Garnish with lemon strip and raspberries.
