1 oz gin
1/2 oz Cinzano Rosso
1/2 oz freshly squeezed lemon juice, fine strained

2 oz cranblueberry juice
2 oz tequila (I like Sauza Hornitos for this)
3/4 oz lime juice
3/4 oz Cointreau

 
This is based on one of our favourite gin cocktails, the Oxford cocktail, created by the Martini Club in Toronto and featured in the LCBO Food & Drink magazine a few years ago. This would also be fab as a frozen margarita.

Vapeur mauve

Vapeur mauve (another bizarre Brenda invention – April 24, 2011)

“Vapeur mauve” is French for “Purple Haze”

2 oz vodka
1/2 oz lemon juice, fine strained
1/2 oz raspberry syrup
1/4 oz blue curaçao
splash lemon bitters (optional)

Groovy, man!

Blair and Brenda’s Bathtub Drink

Blair and Brenda’s Bathtub Drink (created 1991 – our earliest original cocktail!)

2 oz Amaretto
1 oz fresh lemon juice
1/2 oz orange liqueur (Aurum if available, otherwise Grand Marnier or Cointreau)

Stir over ice in a rocks glass. Garnish with lemon peel. Drink in bathtub. Preferably with a friend.
